Rob went on to become Head of Chambers and held the position of Recorder of the Crown Court until 1998, when he moved into his role as General Counsel for British Airways, which he left in April 2009.
Currently Rob is involved in a number of Non-Executive Director roles including: BBC (Chairman Fair Trading Committee); London Stock Exchange (Chairman Remuneration Committee); Hakluyt Limited (Chairman Remuneration Committee); and Emerging Health Foundation. He is Non-Executive Chairman of Autonomy plc.
Previous directorships include Air Mauritius, Speedbird Insurance Company, London First and Trustee British Airways Pension fund.
Outside of his 'day' job Rob is an Honorary Fellow of UNICEF, Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a visiting Professor of Law at the University of Bournemouth.
