Alasdair trained as a chartered accountant at Coopers & Lybrand.
Following a two year secondment to HM Treasury’s Private Finance Panel in 1997, he was appointed Finance Director of Trillium, the property services provider.
In 2003, Alasdair joined Hermes and is now Director of Corporate Finance and Specialist Funds at Hermes Real Estate.
With his team of 15, he is responsible for the development of third party fund business, debt structuring and finance.
He also has specific responsibility for the Hermes Real Estate Specialist Funds; including MEPC, X-Leisure, the UK Logistics Fund and now BTPS’s investment in King’s Cross (via the Argent King’s Cross Limited Partnership).
Alasdair also acts as chairman of the INREV Corporate Governance Committee.
